Relation between Covid-19 and climate?

Created by Dr. Martínez , 6 Apr, 2020

I just spoke with a friend from Ecuador and he tells me that in Quito the evolution is normal, every day more people are confined and with a curfew, but since the climate is cool because it is more than 300 meters high, the epidemic develops at their own pace. However in Guayaquil they are at 37ºC and with 96% humidity, the virus despite the heat but because of the humidity expands really quickly. A lot of people is getting infected, hospitals are overcrowded and patients must be in the street wrapped in plastic. It seems that dry heat is good and high humidity is dire. The influence of humidity and temperature on the evolution of the pandemic in certain places may be true.
